Package: menu-xdg Version: 0.2.3 Followup-For: Bug #334941 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1
reopen 334941 thanks Hi, I'm afraid that this bug was not fixed in 0.2.3. Moreover, none of the workarounds detailed previously in this report helped me. The /var/lib/menu-xdg didn't exist after the package was installed, however the symlink at /etc/xdg/menus/debian-menu.menu point at it. Isn't that a policy violation to ship a dangling symlink with a package? This time reinstalling gnome-menus (2.10.0-2.1) fixed the issue. I had previously ran update-menus as user and as root to no avail (I restarted gnome-panel at every step). Please cc: me (I think submitter@ does the trick) if you need to ask me something. I never saw the previous question regarding update-menus until now.
