It'd be really helpful if you can upload a newer version to
unstable to
allow nodejs 12 in unstable.
Is ICU update the last step to have NodeJS 12 in unstable?
Copying Jeremy (nodejs maintainer) and Xavier (who fixed most of the
nodejs 12 issues).
This was the page used to track the transition ->
https://salsa.debian.org/js-team/nodejs/-/wikis/Transition-to-Nodejs-12-for-Debian-Unstable
and Jeremy mentioned icu as blocker in his last mail to js team list ->
https://alioth-lists.debian.net/pipermail/pkg-javascript-devel/2020-April/041014.html
NB: gitlab is in experimental currently as it needs rails 6, but I
hope
to be able to upload it to unstable when rails 6 transition starts
right after ruby 2.7 transition completes.
Any expected date for this?
We will decide it after ruby 2.7 transition is complete, which has
still some regressions to be fixed ->
https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/ruby-defaults
Possibly 3-4 weeks from now.
ICU 67.1 is RC only at the moment (but packaged and builds in
experimental). Probably the stable version of it will be released this
month. I'm going to test other packages for the ICU transition then.
Thanks! I'm also trying to make gitlab work with nodejs 10.
