Package: can-utils Severity: important Hi Alexander,
Recently I notice can-utils is nice tool for socketcan especially when I personally count on it for work, so I'm pleased to see it on debain. However, I also found that the version is outmoded a bit compared to current upstream release, and I think it's still worth to maintain its debian package for consistency. As usual, current can-utils package should match several criteria according to package salvaging wiki: 1. Missing upstream releases (Now it's 2018.02.0-1 and we need to upstream version 2020.02.04 at least.); AND 2. There is the need to upload the package to deal with upstream issues; AND 3. There is no visible activity regarding the package over six months[1]; Probably I can do NMU first, but again I'd like to contact with you via this email to see if you still focus on it or not. Any objections will be welcome, thank you.
