Package: xss-lock Version: 0.3.0-8 Severity: normal Tags: patch As I'm not using any session manager (if I was, I would probably not be using xss-lock, would I?) when I want to log out, I just terminate the window manager invoked by .xinitrc and X shuts down. When this happens, xss-lock dumps core, which is a bit annoying.
This is a problem in a patch that's applied on top of the upstream tarball: https://salsa.debian.org/debian/xss-lock/-/commit/1e158fb20108058dbd62bd51d8e8c003c0a48717 I'm proposing this patch as a fix: https://salsa.debian.org/liskin-guest/xss-lock/-/commit/43b0ec3cc07930a01e3cea502c1286f4ad6a064b (I also opened this as a merge request on salsa a few months ago: https://salsa.debian.org/debian/xss-lock/-/merge_requests/1 but there was no reply and this month I got a notification that there's a conflict, so I thought I might ping you again.) -- System Information: Debian Release: bullseye/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (990, 'stable'), (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'testing-debug'), (500, 'stable-debug'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental-debug'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.4.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_USER, TAINT_WARN, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=cs_CZ.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=cs_CZ.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=cs_CZ.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages xss-lock depends on: ii libc6 2.30-2 ii libglib2.0-0 2.64.1-1 ii libxcb-screensaver0 1.13.1-5 ii libxcb-util0 0.3.8-3+b2 ii libxcb1 1.13.1-5 xss-lock recommends no packages. xss-lock suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- Tomáš Janoušek, a.k.a.
