Recently, I have had cme edit dpkg stop working on my Buster system, which is mostly clean, with some use of buster-backports. This seemed to occur in conjunction with an update in which lintian was upgraded - lintian (2.59.0~bpo10+1) over (2.55.0~bpo10+1). However, downgrading (to 2.57~bpo10+1 at least) did not resolve it, so perhaps it was something unrelated. (the only other possibly-related update in that batch was libicu63/libicu-dev.) The error message I get, no matter the package I run it on, is: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Single parameters to new() must be a HASH ref data => debian at /usr/share/perl5/Config/Model/Dpkg/Control/Source/StandardVersion.pm line 15. Compilation failed in require at /usr/share/perl5/Config/Model/Node.pm line 247, <F> line 84. I have in the past attempted to backport newer versions of this package and its deps, but as it introduced a number of dependencies I was unfamiliar with, I did give up rather quickly, and I don't believe I have any of them installed.
