Package: pulsemixer
Version: 1.5.0-1
Severity: important

Dear Debian maintainers and upstream authors of pullsemixer,

In its current state, pulsemixer is very difficult / impossible to use
with a braille display.

The two issues are:

1. The cursor is not positionned on the highlighted line. It is possible
to find which line is highlighted once one knows that two equal signs
get added around the bar at the right of the screen, but that requires
sighted assistance to be explained and it is very unlikely that a blind
user would be able to figure that out on his/her own.

2. The mute/unmute state of sources, sinks and applications seems to be
rendered only by colors, making it impossible for a visually impaired
user to figure it out. For sources and sinks one can obtain the
information through pactl but (1) it's not that easy / intuitive and (2)
I know no way at the moment to get the information for individual
applications.

Thanks for any help, would be happy to test any proposed patch.

Sébastien.
