timeoutd isn't working for me.  It doesn't do the main thing I want, which is 
to kill user (including root sessions) during the nologon period.  I have 
implented this for X by adding an Xsession.d check of timeoutd, but would 
prefer to have timeoutd do what it is apparently supposed to, which is kill 
off sessions (or prevent them) during the time period specified as NOLOGIN.  I 
have noticed that in my logs timeoutd seems to die and restart whenever I 
login (both console and X).
