Not sure. I think you can activate only one profile at the time, can't you? So, when you bootstrap matplotlib with --profile=stage1, can you still set "nodoc"? If you want this in "nodoc", maybe <!stage1> <!nodoc> would make more sense? Adrian -- .''`.
