Looking at what the creator of that fork wrote: "I'm more interested in integrate the mod into official project instead of forking a new one." [0] I believe it's better to wait a little bit to see if upstream replies on the PR[1], it looks like there were some issues initially, they were solved on last December and so I pinged upstream on that PR to try to get a review.
