Dear maintainers, Since version 1.24, the autopkgtests for vrms have been failing in Ubuntu, blocking the new version of the package from propagating to the release, because the smoke-test test has been changed to not just run vrms but to also require that vrms gives a clean bill of health to the testbed. On Ubuntu, the output is: [...] running /tmp/autopkgtest.PDNfBd/build.9zS/src/debian/tests/smoke-test Non-free packages installed on autopkgtest amd64-microcode Processor microcode firmware for AMD CPUs fonts-ubuntu-console console version of the Ubuntu Mono font intel-microcode Processor microcode firmware for Intel CPUs Contrib packages installed on autopkgtest iucode-tool Intel processor microcode tool 3 non-free packages, 0.6% of 504 installed packages. 1 contrib packages, 0.2% of 504 installed packages. [...] This is not testing a property of the vrms package, but of the environment the test is run in, and therefore I don't think this is appropriate in an autopkgtest. I've uploaded the attached patch to Ubuntu, so vrms will not be held up by this autopkgtest. Would you consider applying this in Debian as well?
