Hello, I am [waiting] for a reply from apt developers in order to clarify whether there is a Pre-Download hook which works exactly as the Pre-Install hook. [waiting]: <https://bugs.debian.org/80123#73> An alternative strategy could perhaps be the use of [json hooks], which however seem to require a heavy redesign of all the interaction between apt-listbugs and libapt-pkg. Frankly speaking, I do not know when I will get around to doing such a redesign...
