Package: bash Version: 3.1-2 Severity: wishlist
The ssh completion stuff should be moved from /etc/bash_completion to /etc/bash_completion.d/ssh or something like that. That way I can load those few useful "advanced" completion features from my .bashrc that I want, but skip loading the other annoying completions (the majority of them), that are trying to be too smart. (E.g. refusing to complete .bz2 files after 'tar xzf' causes one to extract an old version of a package and so on.) -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.14 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=fi_FI.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages bash depends on: ii base-files 3.1.11 Debian base system miscellaneous f ii debianutils 2.15.3 Miscellaneous utilities specific t ii libc6 2.3.6-3 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libncurses5 5.5-1 Shared libraries for terminal hand bash recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
