I beat my head against the wall of this check for a few minutes before finding
this bug and realizing that Debian had locally modified mairix.
Some issues with this patch:
1) this check doesn't seem to respect the "omit" .mairixrc keyword
2) The error message is totally uninformative. I assumed that "for my own good"
meant "to avoid a recursive symlink state that mairix doesn't know how to
handle". Not "I don't want to blow away your inbox". Perhaps this can be made
more informative.
