Maybe increase the DHCP >timeout on the second and subsequent tries....But, don't dream: netcfg >bug log is huge and I'm not sure that someone will ever do this. If my understanding is correct, it's a hardware flaw with a patch pending a kernel release, so I wouldn't hold netcfg responsible for the problem or expect it to know a workaround.
