I don't mind using noslapd. Indeed, that has come to my mind as an alternative as it closely mirrors the relevant configure option. Just please avoid "stage1" and use the "pkg.openldap." prefix since neither is a registered[1] profile name. It really is a minor issue of cleaning up the profile namespace.
