I have applied it in the Salsa repository: https://salsa.debian.org/wolff-guest/dwarfutils/commit/ef186156885aef96d600c9c5c5d43eaba143ffb0 Since this issue doesn't look very urgent to me, I would simply wait for the next regular upload (e. g. new upstream release), but if this is blocking something else or you have some other reason for why you need this in unstable ASAP, just let me know and I'll upload it.
