Usual google advise to change Exec to: Exec=GDK_BACKEND=x11 totem %U seamed to have no effect. After few hours I found how to apply 'GDK_BACKEND=x11 totem' in Nautilus In file: org.gnome.Totem.desktop changed two lines so they look like: Exec=/home/user/.local/bin/tot %U DBusActivatable=false file totemx11: #!/bin/sh GDK_BACKEND=x11 /usr/bin/totem "$@"
