Thanks. We're in the process of updating the package so you don't need
to do an NMU.
Unfortunately the issue with ffmpeg isn't completely solved by this
update. I created a test case that shows ffmpeg 4.2.1 has the same issue
with its own ppm output:

I also found the main issue of ffmpeg stopping reading input when it
encounters an error seems to not occur with the in development version
of ffmpeg.
