If you ssh into a system, run a kde app (such as kuser, say), and quit that application and log out, the connection won't be released because arts is still running. This odd behavior has been around for a very long time now -- this bug report is two years old -- could someone please propose a solution? If artsd is started automatically when a KDE app is started (even though in most cases when you run remotely there's no call for it), can it be told to shut down when that KDE app is closed?
