Hi Frans, First, I went to: http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer/ Then I clicked on "If you'd like something newer" netinst CD image for i386. The file name it downloaded was debian-testing-i386-netinst.iso. I downloaded the file on 3/29. Are you suggesting that I try to download the Beta 2 release to see if it works?

You should also check the errata [2] for the SATA ATAPI issue and may have use the workaround as linked from there or at [3].
