Package: src:python-kafka
Version: 1.4.6-1
Severity: important
Tags: upstream

Dear maintainer,

python-kafka versions 1.4.5 and 1.4.6 suffer from large performance regressions
in the consumer implementation (some people have reported a 4-8x throughput
reduction upstream at https://github.com/dpkp/kafka-python/issues/1888).

Version 1.4.7 has been released a while ago which fixes these performance
regressions.

Please consider uploading this new version.

Thank you!
