According to https://linux.die.net/man/8/dictd the index shall have always 3 entries: "... The flat text file contains dictionary entries (or any other suitable data), and the index contains tab-delimited tuples consisting of the headword, the byte offset at which this entry begins in the flat text file, and the length of the entry in bytes..." I noticed this problem using pyglossary, which reports a related syntax failure and stops conversion. I also noticed the related package freedict-spa-deu-0.1.dictd.tar.xz (sha512 9e33dd3294c8a24...) on https://freedict.org has the same problem. But I could not resolve the root cause in the sources.
