I guess just the fact that it is updated independently/more often
than linphone?
It is also a bit confusing knowing what version of the oRTP library
installed when third party packages depend on it?

Version 0.9.1 of oRTP is availble:

(perhaps the libortp2 version number should follow this,
rather than the linphone version number)
For now the libosip provided is the one shipped with linphone (thus
the
version number). I guess it is therefore the most recent one. Do
you see
any advantage in using the ortp from the ortp-0.9.1.tar.gz (apart from
the version number)?
Cheers,
