Package: neomutt Version: 20191102+dfsg.1-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
I'm reporting this against the first version I found shows the problem. Downgrading the the previous version (20180716+dfsg.1-1.2) works. The version in unstable as of writing (20191111+dfsg.1-1) doesn't work. Opening an encrypted email used to show the following message on one line: Enter PGP passphrase then ask the passphrase. Since version 20191102+dfsg.1-1, what happens is that the following message is displayed, garbling mutt's output: Please enter the passphrase to unlock the OpenPGP secret key: "Mike Hommey <gland...@debian.org>" 4096-bit RSA key, ID 8C9FD97B062C7945, created 2009-06-18 (main key ID E42AA04FA6AA8C72). Passphrase: (yes, with all that spacing) and typing doesn't do anything. All I can do to come back to neomutt is to kill the pinentry process. If I Ctrl+C, I can quit neomutt, but pinentry still runs, and the shell doesn't receive all the keystrokes anymore until pinentry is killed. This does work fine when using pinentry-gnome3. It kind of works with pinentry-curses, but neomutt's UI get garbled after the prompt returns. It fails with pinentry-tty. 20180716+dfsg.1-1.2 didn't seem to be using pinentry at all. -- Package-specific info: NeoMutt 20191102 Copyright (C) 1996-2016 Michael R. Elkins and others.
