Package: tex-common Version: 0.20 Severity: wishlist On the latest upgrade I was asked how to handle permissions in /var/cache/fonts. The message includes "If you accept, you can specify a group name" and "If you accept, font generation will only work for users that have been added to the group you chose".
This gave me the impression that I was going to be asked for the name of a group, but I wasn't. It would be helpful to reword the message and output the name of the default group. After the fact it was easy to see what group the directory belonged to, but I found the dialogue a bit misleading. Maybe the group name is only asked at low-priority? If so, it might be useful to have different messages for different priorities, but I suspect debconf doesn't do that. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (50, 'unstable'), (40, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages tex-common depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.4.72 Debian configuration management sy ii ucf 2.007 Update Configuration File: preserv tex-common recommends no packages.
