I use kernel 2.6.15 My setup is ROOT and SWAP on LVM This message is seen on kernel 2.6.15 also. The worrying part is that upon resume, udev cannot find the volumes and drops down to the busybox shell.
Passing kernel argument noresume allows it to boot but infact it actually starts the resume instead of a clean reboot. So, it is a problem. And is not specific to 2.6.16. So should have something to do with udev.
