Package: nagios-nrpe-server Version: 2.4-1 NRPE server stopped executing checks after upgrading this package with error messages like "NRPE: Command 'check-disks' not defined".
The reason for this is that the distributed standard configuration file, /etc/nagios/nrpe.cfg, does not any more include the "local" NRPE configuration, /etc/nagios/nrpe_local.cfg, where our checks are defined. This conflicts with the documentation and with the behaviour of the previous version(s). I suggest that the standard configuration file should be changed by adding an include directive like: include=/etc/nagios/nrpe_local.cfg at the end to restore the behaviour of the previous version. This remedy has been tested on our machines and produces the desired result. Since this appears to be a configuration problem I omit the kernel/libc/dependency information.
