Package: install Severity: important installing sarge or etch with linux 2.4 is okay, but very slow and it hangs a lot. trying to install both with linux 2.6 is still not possible. after installing i always compile 2.6 with libata_enabled=1 in /linux/drivers/scsi/libata_core.c. this fixes the problem and makes a very useful and fast system. since many notebooks have the same problem there should be a way made to solve this problem. at all i don't know what it would mean for others if libata_atapi is true! it works fine for me!
