The new release of libetpan has switched from the custom libetpan-config script to use a pkg-config file. This means that current configuration tests for detecting libetpan library will fail and the package will FTBFS. I've just uploaded the new version to experimental, so you can test building with it. In a month or so will raise the severity of this bug when uploading to unstable.
