True, but it also contains things like: apache-dev atlas-*-dev blacs-*-dev scalapack-*-dev Most of those seemed to be more akin to the gromacs situation: development packages that are only relevant to one particular piece of software, rather than the more general-purpose libraries represented in libdevel. (Not that there aren't some quirks...
