Ok, I'm reassigning to dbus, I think it should be correctly registered
in Xsession by default. To the Dbus maintainers: it's the second
report I receive of a missing "use-session-dbus" in the
Xsession.options. I believe the current solution isn't very good:
- on upgrades or installs, it seems the option doesn't get added to the
Xsession.options, hence there's no attempt to create a session bus
- no documentation of the use-session-dbus option in the
Xsession.options man page (which is a consequence of the fact that
this Xsession extension is added by a separate package)
- no distinction between "session bus deactivatd" and "never
configured" (which is a limitation in the current syntax of
Xsession.options, perhaps you want to introduce a
dont-use-session-dbus token for example)
All of this might become obsolete if Xsession disapppears completely,
but I have no idea of what should replace Xsession and start the
session bus.
