That is not a bug, but rather a feature that is solving previous bugs [1] and [2] The issue is that I copied some code from the Debian policy manual [3] and that code was wrong: The given example is missing closing bracket. I should noticed it before, but for some obscure reason it is passing on my computer:if [ upgrade != "$1 || dpkg --compare-versions "$2" lt 1.0-2; then I've checked it again and I've fixed it. Will upload soon.
