While I totally agree that disabling ipv6 is a corner case, I'm still not convinced that it's enough justification to not worry about this case. As I said some companies in the field do disable ipv6 intentionally as per their policy.
Of course, we can debate if it's a good idea or not, but in fact, my chain of thought is that no matter what, the package installation should succeed (ii) no matter if ipv6 is present or not. Thought ?
