Package: ppp Version: 2.4.7-2+4.1 Severity: normal File: /usr/sbin/pppd Dear Maintainer,
I've just been setting up a l2tp vpn and found that pppd segfaulted whenever I tried to connect. Digging into things, I found this Ubuntu bug report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ppp/+bug/1410675 ...and I can confirm that removing the option resolved the issue for me. I cannot comment on the analysis offered on the bug report. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-5-686-pae (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_GB.utf8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: sysvinit (via /sbin/init) Versions of packages ppp depends on: ii libc6 2.28-10 ii libpam-modules 1.1.8-3 ii libpam-runtime 1.1.3-9 ii libpam0g 1.1.8-3.8 ii libpcap0.8 1.6.2-1 ii libssl1.1 1.1.1-2 ii lsb-base 9.20170808 ii procps 2:3.3.12-2 ppp recommends no packages. ppp suggests no packages. -- Configuration Files: /etc/ppp/options changed [not included] -- no debconf information
