I syncronize multiple accounts into subdirs below ~/Maildir and track 
them as a whole using a single notmuch database.

Sounds more elegant to use IMAP namespaces, I just haven't wrapped my 
head around that concept yet...

... so it sounds like I should simply look forward to the next release 
of interimap to tell me how to improve my setup :-D

I was thinking something along the lines of printf-like hack, yes.

What I do now is spawn multiple instances of interimap, all spewing to 
stderr - and it would then be helpful to have output not only tell my 
username (which is identical across several mail domains) but also 
mention my shortname used for each maildomain.
