upower.service uses hardening features which do require user namespaces. So if you disable those globally, this will indeed conflict. You have two choices here: - Allow user name spaces - Disable the hardening features in upower.service which require user name spaces This is basically a duplicate of https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=939510 -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
