Ok, thanks. I have a feeling we are getting closer. If you (temporarily) disable ippl (via update-rc.d ippl disable), what do you get on next reboot for systemctl status systemctl list-jobs -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
