* What led up to the situation? Whatever the application (even exclusive full-screen applications), a drop-down notifications is always displayed and does not disappear until you hover/click on the notifications (which can lead some applications to crash). This behaviour has been disabled in the settings and seemed to be not enforced. It appears to be the same in dconf: the path is "org.gnome.desktop.notifications" and the item is "shows-banners". * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? I tried disabling through the "Settings" menu, or through dconf-editor, to avoid the drop-down notifications to make some on my exclusive full-screen apps. * What was the outcome of this action? The notifications/banners keep appearing, even the setting set to off. * What outcome did you expect instead? I was expecting not to see any drop-down notifications/banners anymore after having set its setting to off. Furthermore, I would expect, whatever if the setting is set to on or off, that the notifications would not appear above exclusive full-screen applications.
