We are using gdm3 with KDE Plasma desktop as a default Linux desktop for our users (Authentication with LDAP). Plasma is configured system wide as the default session with update-alternatives : root@pc-lheea182:~# update-alternatives --config x-session-manager Il existe 4 choix pour l'alternative x-session-manager (qui fournit /usr/bin/x-session-manager). Sélection Chemin Priorité État ------------------------------------------------------------ 0 /usr/bin/gnome-session 50 mode automatique 1 /usr/bin/gnome-session 50 mode manuel * 2 /usr/bin/startkde 40 mode manuel 3 /usr/bin/startxfce4 50 mode manuel 4 /usr/bin/xfce4-session 40 mode manuel But since Buster, GDM3 launch GNOME as the default session ! We have to specify manually Plasma on the first connexion. Does the configuration in gdm3 has changed ? If so, could you please tell me how to set up the default session in gdm3, so that Plasma is launched for the first connexion instead of Gnome ?
