Package: g3data
Version: 1:1.4.0.1-1
Severity: normal

Hi!

Moving the mouse over the image (after having set points X1, X2, Y1,
and Y2) may produce beeps.
Setting close values for X1 and X2 or for Y1 and Y2 (such as, say,
0 and 0.2) produces an annoying flood of beeps. People in the same
room can really complain about this!

I cannot understand the usefulness of those beeps (assuming they are
intended to be present...), and I haven't found anything in the
documentation about them.
An option to disallow them should at least be implemented.
Even better, no beep should be generated by default: if they are of
any use, an option to allow them upon request could be implemented.
