Package: bind Version: 1:8.4.6-1 Upon installation, bind starts its name service by calling its init.d script directly, and not via invoke-rc.d. Policy 9.3.3.2 (Running initscripts) strongly recommends using invoke-rc.d. This allows the sysadmin (or piuparts) to create a policy-rc.d command that disables some (or all) services. The Policy Manual has example code that can be used to invoke invoke-rc.d.
