And now for the real source of the problem. Since I ran into it again today.
Somehow, the profile for the bt headset shifted from "Headset" to "a2dp" when
updating to 12.99.2 the first time. And HF Playback has no microphone ;-).
By using i.e. pavucontrol, I reset it back to "Headset" (HSP/HFP) and
everything works fine again.
