thank you for maintaining xfce! I am not sure if this is an issue in xfce4-session or lightdm/light-locker, feel free to reassign. I also didn't change the severity, although it could potentially be higher, as this causes data loss. What happens is this: - I lock the screen, either explicitly or by closing the lid / suspending - I unplug or plug my external screen - I [resume and] get the lightdm greeter - I enter my username/password to unlock - there's a flicker, and I get back to the greeter. The session has died - I enter my username/password and I find an empty session. All my open windows have died, all my unsaved work is lost. It doesn't always happen, but it happens often when there's been a change in the screen geometry while the session was locked, and never when the screen geometry stays the same. When it happens, one can imagine it's extremely frustrating.
