Source: erlang Version: 1:20.3.8.8+dfsg-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
Since version 1:20.3.8.8+dfsg-1, erlang has failed to build on hppa. It fails with a bad argument exception running escript: escript /<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/lib/erl_docgen/priv/bin/github_link.escript diameter_codec.xml \ "lib/diameter/doc/src/diameter_codec.xml" "NA" ../xml/diameter_codec.xml escript: exception error: bad argument in function re:split/3 called as re:split(<<"<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"utf-8\" ?>\n<!DOCTYPE erlref SYSTEM \"erlref.dtd\" [\n <!ENTITY records\n '<seealso marker=\"diameter_dict#MESSAGE_RECORDS\">diameter_dict(4)</seealso>'>\n <!ENTITY typ"...>>, "\n",[]) escript: exception error: bad argument in function re:split/3 called as re:split(<<"<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"utf-8\" ?>\n<!DOCTYPE comref SYSTEM \"comref.dtd\" [\n <!ENTITY dictionary\n '<seealso marker=\"diameter_dict\">dictionary file</seealso>'>\n <!ENTITY % also SYSTEM \"se"...>>, "\n",[]) make[1]: *** [/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/make/otp_release_targets.mk:47: ../xml/diameter_codec.xml] Error 127 make[1]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs.... I've tried to debug this error but so far I haven't had much luck. There is a hppa porter box.
