Package: libasound2-plugins Version: 1.1.8-1 Severity: normal Hi,
aplay -L reports that I have two HDMI audio channels: hdmi:CARD=PCH,DEV=0 HDA Intel PCH, HDMI 0 HDMI Audio Output hdmi:CARD=PCH,DEV=1 HDA Intel PCH, HDMI 1 HDMI Audio Output That is indeed correct, but trying to use them I end up with alsa-lib: dlmisc.c:287:(snd1_dlobj_cache_get) Cannot open shared library /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/alsa-lib/libasound_module_pcm_hdmi.so ((null): /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/alsa-lib/libasound_module_pcm_hdmi.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory) It seems the plugin is missing here. The normal audio device works in some configurations, but has no information on the capabilities of the connected device.
