Thanks, I took the full build log from https://salsa.debian.org/debichem-team/xcrysden/-/jobs/263075/raw and can reproduce the issue. The problem was that the workaround in blhc requires the build dependencies to detect if fortran is used. I've simply removed the checks in eaa4bec ("Fix format CFLAGS for Ada/Fortran with some build logs", 2019-08-31) [1] and it should work now.
