Install Debian Buster using the graphical expert installer. 2.) Partitioning of the SSD seemed to work 3.) The step where the base system packages are installed failed. => Installation failed. Debian Buster does not seem to support Samsung SSD 970 Evo Plus SSD, at least not with the MSI Z390 A-Pro and I7 9700K processor. I had to replace the SSD with an older model attached to a SATA connector. -- System Information: Debian Release: 10.0 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-5-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled
