Package: totem Version: 3.32.0-2 Followup-For: Bug #929493 This bug still exists in 3.33.90-2.
as noted witht he x11 token, this problem affects the ability to run totem when using wayland. I was puzzled as to why this bug was affecting our Debian based home entertainment system, but not any of our laptops. When I ran totem from the terminal, it threw the aforementioned error 71. I immediately checked to see whether the unaffected systems were using Wayland: they were not. Upgrading to 3.33.90-2 did not solve the problem. Switching from Gnome Wayland "system x11 default" - as expected - corrected the problem, enabling videos to play normally in totem and launch from nautilus. -- System Information: Debian Release: bullseye/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (800, 'testing'), (700, 'unstable'), (600, 'experimental'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 5.2.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages totem depends on: ii grilo-plugins-0.3 0.3.9-1 ii gsettings-desktop-schemas 3.28.1-1 ii gstreamer1.0-clutter-3.0 3.0.27-1 ii gstreamer1.0-plugins-base 1.16.0-2 ii gstreamer1.0-plugins-good 1.16.0-2+b1 ii gstreamer1.0-x 1.16.0-2 ii libc6 2.28-10 ii libcairo2 1.16.0-4 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.38.1+dfsg-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.60.6-2 ii libgstreamer-plugins-base1.0-0 1.16.0-2 ii libgstreamer1.0-0 1.16.0-2.1 ii libgtk-3-0 3.24.10-1 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.42.4-7 ii libpangocairo-1.0-0 1.42.4-7 ii libtotem-plparser18 3.26.3-1 ii libtotem0 3.32.0-2 ii libx11-6 2:1.6.7-1 ii totem-common 3.32.0-2 Versions of packages totem recommends: ii gstreamer1.0-libav 1.16.0-2+b1 ii gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad 1.16.0-2+b1 ii gstreamer1.0-plugins-ugly 1.16.0-2 ii gstreamer1.0-pulseaudio 1.16.0-2+b1 ii totem-plugins 3.32.0-2 Versions of packages totem suggests: pn gnome-codec-install <none> -- debconf-show failed
