Package: pavucontrol Version: 3.0-4 Followup-For: Bug #786750 Dear Maintainer,
*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate *** * What led up to the situation? Playing supertuxkart with an attached USB DAC * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? I opened Pulse audio control to changed from Built-In Audio to my DAC. Clicking on the Built-in audio to change to the DAC, I could select the DAC not with mouse, but by hitting space. I also tried a suggestion from pulseaudio freenode channel: https://askubuntu.com/questions/433459/move-audio-stream-from-openal-application-to-different-audio-device Basically, it was to add a ~/.alsoftrc file with allow-moves = true * What was the outcome of this action? Upon hitting enter with the DAC select, it reverted back to built-in audio for the stream Adding the "allow-moves = true" and restarting also did nothing * What outcome did you expect instead? DAC setting to be set and audio to start streaming to the DAC -- neither happened -- System Information: Debian Release: 10.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-5-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages pavucontrol depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 2.30.0-2 ii libatkmm-1.6-1v5 2.28.0-2 ii libc6 2.28-10 ii libcairo-gobject2 1.16.0-4 ii libcairo2 1.16.0-4 ii libcairomm-1.0-1v5 1.12.2-4 ii libcanberra-gtk3-0 0.30-7 ii libcanberra0 0.30-7 ii libgcc1 1:8.3.0-6 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.38.1+dfsg-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.58.3-2 ii libglibmm-2.4-1v5 2.58.0-2 ii libgtk-3-0 3.24.5-1 ii libgtkmm-3.0-1v5 3.24.0-2 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.42.4-7~deb10u1 ii libpangocairo-1.0-0 1.42.4-7~deb10u1 ii libpangomm-1.4-1v5 2.42.0-2 ii libpulse-mainloop-glib0 12.2-4 ii libpulse0 12.2-4 ii libsigc++-2.0-0v5 2.10.1-2 ii libstdc++6 8.3.0-6 ii libx11-6 2:1.6.7-1 Versions of packages pavucontrol recommends: ii pulseaudio 12.2-4 pavucontrol suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
