Usually, you can check the status of cross building a few days after your upload at http://crossqa.debian.net/src/<sourcepackage>. In case of xzgv, we can see that it still fails to cross build. You can also see that it uses the correct compiler and the wrong pkg-config (as you expected). Please apply the remainder of the patch. Helmut
